about

english version:

MKID (formerly known as microchipkids), who was influenced by early Warp- and Rephlex records releases and as well is a fan of Oldschool-Electro-Beats from the time immemorial puts his production-focus on the harsh charme of anterior Drummachines and synths. This equipment awards his tracks with a superior character. Before he founded the AV-Live Project „microchipkids“ (including involvement of animal mother & kon.txt vjs) in 2006, he was hosting parties at the „alten
Schl8hof“ (Acts like Apparat, Acid Pauli, Patrick Pulsinger and many more were performing there). He acted until 2009 and in the same year he developed his solo career as „MKID“. The contact with Houztekk started in the year 2001 at a party at Flex and
further down the road, during a Houztekk-festival, the plan of a release at Houztekk records was born. In 2012, finally it is done! „curiosity“ reminds of whimsically Post-Wave Electronica from New York which shows early Techno-Flashes on the nightly horizon, „Electro Boogie Nights“ states its content in the title already (like dancing on a neon-tubish floor) and also, „My electro shoes“ shows up as a light-feated, never-ending Chill-Rave track (and at the same time is not necessarily dedicated to the
early morning hours only). Finally, a great Popdrama happens with the track „Popsoap“ feat. Didi Bruckmayr
(Fuckhead/Wipeout). Somehow this track was more or less a product by accident via Soundcloud (although mkid was a pre-performer at some Bruckmayr Gigs) and anyway, this track convinces with its straight synthpop which charming trash-appeal swings back and forth between the status of a supercooled statement and an eased strike of melancholiac escapism.
